Brookhaven vehicles: cars, boats, planes and the subway

How to spawn any vehicle, where boats and aircraft appear, which ones cost Robux, and how to use the subway.

Open the vehicles menu on the right, pick something, and it appears next to you. That's the whole process. Most of what's in there is free from your first minute in town, so you can drive whatever takes your fancy on day one.

Where do boats and aircraft spawn?

Not next to you. Three exceptions to the normal spawn:

  • Boats spawn at the water.
  • Aircraft spawn from helipads and jet pads, including the Police Department, Big Frank's, the Fire Station and St. Luke's Hospital, plus house pads.
  • Horses spawn on streets.

Are police cars and fire trucks locked to jobs?

No. The core emergency vehicles are free and open to everyone, whatever job you're doing or not doing. You don't need to work at the fire station to drive the fire truck. A few specials like the police supercar and the SWAT vehicle come with game passes.

Which boats and planes are free?

Some boats are free. The rest, meaning speedboats, ships, yachts, rafts and sharks, come with the Boat Pack.

The permanent aircraft are all paid. The helicopter and the jet come with Premium, and the others sit behind other passes. Seasonal events sometimes add their own.

How do I get around without driving?

The subway. Four stations: Crown Pointe, Downtown, Blackhawk and Lake Madison. Sit down, pick your station, and you're there.

The bus stops are real places to wait, and buses are ordinary vehicles anyone can spawn. If you want a bus route running in Brookhaven, somebody has to drive it, and that somebody can be you.

Can I customize my car in Brookhaven?

Small vehicles can be recolored for free.

Beyond that there are two separate things people sometimes confuse. Looks come from Vehicle Customization. Speed comes from the upgrade passes. The game passes page has what each one unlocks.

How do I get off a bike, horse or scooter?

E on PC, the X button on mobile. To get out of a car, press jump. In a helicopter, E climbs and Q descends.

Most small vehicles are free, including the bike, tandem bike, cargo bike, skateboard, scooter and wheelchair.
